Safiri Power is a renewable energy developer registered in Mauritius and Delaware, focused exclusively on electrifying industrial operators in African emerging markets with a focus on the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
We are active across 4 technologies : Solar, Battery Energy Storage System BESS, HydroPower and Waste to Energy.
From our bases in Mauritius, Lubumbashi (DRC), we design, finance, and operate hybrid energy systems combining solar, hydro, and battery storage to support energy-intensive operations.

Why Africa and the DRC
Africa and DRC's industrial bases are stifled by a lack of access to energy.
Africa and DRC's industrial bases are stifled by a lack of access to energy.
Africa and DRC's industrial bases are stifled by a lack of access to energy.
The Widening Energy Gap
The DRC faces a severe power shortfall of over 2,000 MW today, expected to grow beyond 10,000 MW by 2030.
An Unreliable and Costly Grid
Frequent outages caused by grid faults, load shedding, and outdated monitoring drive wheeling costs of up to 22%.
Significant Revenue Losses for the Mining Sector
Power shortages alone are estimated to cost the mining sector over USD 600 million in lost revenues.
Country expertise
We have built a database of hydro potential across the entire country.
We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ANSER, the agency in charge of Rural and peri-urban electrification to develop hydrosites across the country.
We are building a power plant for the largest Cold Room Warehouse in Lubumbashi.
We maintain an extensive database of hydropower resources across the DRC, entailing detailed metrics on potential capacity, flow rates, and locations.
